Gay Issues

We all know gay people. So what is wrong with being Gay? I hope to clarify this issue below. I would like to say before I begin, that Gay people are human beings and sinners just like me. We need to always treat them with the respect they deserve as our fellow human beings.

From Romans 1:26:

“For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.”

In other words, it is a sin to engage in homosexual sex but it is NOT a sin to have homosexual desires. So “being” a homosexual is not a sin, but exchanging in abnormal functions is, defining abnormal function as homosexual sex is sin.

So, why is homosexual sex a sin? If it is practiced by consenting adults without hurting anyone, why would God label it a sin? There are several reasons:

First, the practice violates the first directive given to mankind. From Genesis 9:7 “As for you, be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it.” Homosexual sex does not result in fruit, or multiplication. In other words, homosexuals can have sex until their private parts fall off, but they will never produce a child.

Second, the practice isn’t “victim less”. Since there are no obvious victims, people think there are no victims, but the reality is, there are hidden victims and society itself is victimized. There are several reasons why:

First, it is a stepping stone to other immoral practices. Like the proverbial Pandora’s Box, it opens the door to other immoral practices like pederasty, pedophilia, and bestiality. Unlike homosexuality, there are victims in these practices.

Second, it denigrates to rape. Male homosexual rape is a regular practice in prison. While regular society is not the same as prison, the reason the rapes occur can also occur in regular society over time. The reason is caused by a shortage of “bottoms”. Right now, there is no shortage, but in time, with the effect of disease, and gay marriage, bottoms will become scarce. In the past, when this happened, rape gangs terrorized cities, raping anyone they can find. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is an example of this from the bible.

Third, bottoms are actually victims. While, if you ask them, they will tell you how much they love being bottoms, the reality is that they are being abused by tops. In order to become bottoms, they have to shove ever increasing “plugs” into their rectums over and over to get their sphincter used to the act in order to not experience pain during sodomy. This sure sounds like abuse to me.

Third, homosexual sex takes away women from marriage and childbirth. While homosexual women don’t usually hate men, they do hate submission. Since heterosexual sex is an act of submission, women who don’t like submission, will naturally gravitate to homosexuality.

Fourth, it destroys traditional marriage. Usually via gay marriage, heterosexual couples usually end up not getting married. As the marriage rate goes down, the birth rate drops too. In Europe, where gay marriage has been in place longer, the marriage rate and birth rates are way down.

Fifth, it destroys all things heterosexual in nature. Gradually, over time, gay activists protest anything where they feel left out. First to go is marriage. Next, sports, movies, and media all are required to have gay themes and characters. This practice removes the credibility of these institutions, and the end result is that people won’t participate or watch things that have been made “gay” by activists.

Sixth, and perhaps the most important, it causes persecution of Christians. Christians cannot go along with the acceptance of all things homosexual. Besides the obvious scripture stating that homosexual sex is sin, there are other themes in scripture that are affected by the concept of homosexual acceptance.

The relationship between Jesus and the church is explained by comparing it to heterosexual marriage. From Ephesians 5:22 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. 25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless” As you can see from this passage, the writer is clearly comparing the relationship between Christ and the Church to husband and wife. Gay marriage corrupts this concept.

Gay sex is considered an “abomination” to God. The word “abomination” implies that homosexual sex is degrading (from Romans 1:26). This degradation is a sign that a society has been “given over”, meaning that God has identified them to be under judgment. This judgment usually results in the affected society being invaded by a foreign power or enduring pestilence. God judged Israel, now much more so will he judge other nations that embrace things that degrade us.

Because the church cannot accept homosexuality as anything other than a sin, gay activists will see the church as an enemy that is against their cause. In the minds of the activists persecution is justified. Christians will be labeled as bigots, homophobes, being discriminatory and intolerant. Next, they will use the courts and public shaming to try to silence Christians who object to the morality de-jure.

Finally, no church or Christian has any reason to accept homosexuality and any related behaviors as anything other than sin. To accept is to be a friend of the world and to allow the fear of man to have a greater influence than the fear of God. I feel that this is why the scripture in Romans 1:26 was written. It probably was not written for the first century church that had no reason to accept homosexuality, but rather for us today who are facing this (plus other pertinent issues) right now. God wanted to make sure that the church had no good reason to accept homosexuality as normal. The Bible makes it clear that to be a friend of the world by accepting homosexuality, is to be an enemy of God. From James 4:4: “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” And why do people want to be a friend of the world? They are afraid of not being accepted by their fellow man. From Isaiah 51:2: “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?” We are to be afraid of God, not our fellow man. People who think that Jesus would have accepted homosexuality or that he would have been against identifying homosexual sex as sin are fooling themselves. People who think that homosexuals are being oppressed and need to be protected and accepted are making themselves enemies of God.
